TBF I don’t watch a lot of the BBC’s output THESE DAYS, but when I do, the drama or comedy seems to take second place to political messaging. Wokery is obviously the bludgeon, but you get a little inequality and NHS disaster rapier in there as well. 13-04-2024, 09:18 AM in response to #40977
Littlejohn nailed it when he wrote “whenever the Tories have been in trouble, Ange has been deployed in full fishwife mode to trash them. She has demanded that assorted Tories, and even the Prime Minister’s wife, come clean about their own tax returns…..if Starmer had a shred of decency, he’d dump Rayner today…..this grubby little business has also illustrated the lack of propriety and morality we can expect from an incoming Starmer government”.
Basically they’ll be just as bad as the Tories on sleeze. But we knew that anyway. 13-04-2024, 09:29 AM (This post was last modified: 13-04-2024, 09:30 AM by DesCartes.) in response to #41049 Pugwash Wrote: Littlejohn nailed it when he wrote “whenever the Tories have been in trouble, Ange has been deployed in full fishwife mode to trash them. What utter rubbish. At worst, this is a small mistake made years ago. Meanwhile, an endless succession of scandals continue to dog the Tories. One suspects that there's much more behind the Wragg story that they simply don't want the public to find out about. Hence, 'bigging up' what is, at most, a trivial issue for Labour as a diversionary tactic, given their continuing woes. 'Oh look, a red squirrel'. Anyone who subscribes to what Littlejohn has to say needs to give their head a wobble. 13-04-2024, 09:31 AM in response to #41046 Baldman Wrote: TBF I don’t watch a lot of the BBC’s output THESE DAYS, but when I do, the drama or comedy seems to take second place to political messaging. Christ, Littlejohn. The gobshite's gobshite. Is he still alive? The desperation that this points to is pretty gratifying. 13-04-2024, 10:31 AM in response to #41046 Baldman Wrote: TBF I don’t watch a lot of the BBC’s output THESE DAYS, but when I do, the drama or comedy seems to take second place to political messaging. So how does it lean to the economic left? I've never once heard Peston say "DIG TUNNELS AND STORE GRAIN" in a report about interest rates. 13-04-2024, 10:53 AM in response to #41058 13-04-2024, 11:09 AM in response to #41060 13-04-2024, 11:28 AM in response to #41062 |
