How many billions have we sent to Ukraine then can't afford to build a trainline for ourselves?

The truth of the matter us we and other western nations are sending equipement that's soon to be past its useful shelf live. Sending it over for Ukraine to use means:

*we don't have to spend money de-activating it
*we can boost UK arms industry by ordering replacements earlier
*history, especially our own, has shown having other people fight our battles is cheaper than doing it ourselves.

When people talk about billions sent its mainly accounting billions and very little in the way of actual money has gone over.

E.g. the US has just sent Ukraine 1m bullets nicked off the Iranians
