My mate once ate some mushrooms in Dam, he left us without saying a word and locked himself in the flat we'd rented for the night and was a little unpopular for the rest of the trip.

I started going in the 80's, we'd (my old number 1 girl & I) buy 2 pairs of 'Dutch dash' tickets which gave us a night in Holland for a quid each way with the buffet meals included, of which we'd pocket plenty of food at breakfast for the day ahead. sail Friday from hull, Rotterdam in the morning and back on the Sunday night ferry with the following morning off work, staying in cheap digs but having a crack, I've been there more times than I've been to Leeds.

Not the same vibe anymore, and with the Canary Isles & mainland Spain having found a loophole that folk are happy with it too is a toker's paradise.

Germany & Malta have legalised, the people who started the war on drugs have mostly legalised in a convoluted way in a lot of the individual states, the Canadians screwed up what they had when decriminalised and the government scheme doesn't work and if you think the taliban don't make money from their crops, you'd be wrong, look at Thailand Big Grin

they have gone from a very strict drug policy to giving their people free seeds (not withstanding their health minister has a grow op), I'm still shaking my head at my brief visit there Big Grin

I can't remember how much cannabis the UK smokes a week, Howard Marks mention it in his book, and whatever it was/is our government are missing out on 17.5% of it in income tax an industry catering to it would bring, that's before the cafe's start up, don't like it? Don't go in....

But I'm still struggling to understand how that guy's allowed to grow weed.

I haven't blamed anyone for anything, If I were they (eeyou or other) I'd head this way too, but I'm not as I'm an indigenous guy who hasn't liked what he can see happening since around 1996.

Where and at what point did this become an immigration thread anyway?

I also got extremely paranoid in Amsterdam. I had already knocked it on the head by that point but just had a few FOR A LAUGH. I imagine the place is full of paranoid tourists.

Knocked it all on the head when all the trippy super skunk was about. Or started being common. Whatever. Just wanted to chill out. Started dooming about the place.

Of course, that's when I committed myself to alcohol so I'm in a much better place.

Did it semi regularly then got increasingly paranoid on it in 2014 and vowed not to touch it again. Didn't until this summer when I bumped in to an old mate at a gig. It was good but I think I've grown out of whatever appeal it originally had. In no rush to start again.

Didn't you dabble with the CBD version at one point exploring if it had pain relief qualities?

Grown under HPS growlights it's an energy intensive crop, led's can help during the vegetative stage but as of yet the sodium lamp is king.

There are a couple of Canadian varieties that will grow outdoor over here, but if the rabbits don't eat them then they get pinched.

Well remembered. Yeah, very strangely the CBD oil got me mildly high the first time but never since. Was pretty good but found something better for what I needed. Magnesium (Glycinate or Threonate) knocks me out for an incredible night's sleep when I need it which was what the CBD was intended for.

Most people are Magnesium deficient, especially those who drink, as alcohol flushes it out of your system. Just a bit has me feeling mentally more relaxed and in a better mood.

I use a magnesium supplement, and a zinc one, levels affect a persons insulin resistance as far as it goes, higher the body needs to produce more insulin and a pre-curser to t2d and will contribute to a magnesium deficiency.
