If you work on the principle that the end justifies the means then you'd hope a form of peace is coming.

The issues will still be there but should be quieter for the forseeable, but there is no solution that will suit both sides, there can't be when both sides support are opposed to each other.

The Hmong kids (girls were sent to be nurses) used carbines, which appear to be shorter rifles, American supplied, be around the same time at that age we'd be playing Japs and Commandos or cowboys and Indians here.
