Most of the parties standing have delivered at least one leaflet to us. The Tories have done a couple, but Labour have BOMBARDED us with four. The joys of living in a traditionally marginal constituency.

No pressure from my family I was shocked my borough had elected a conservative majority and had to do my bit. The Expect my MP will become a minister. Tends to happen to us. Richard Marsh, Guy Barnet and Nick Raynsford our last 3 had portfolios and currently Matt Pennycook has a shadow responsibility. 27-06-2024, 06:44 AM (This post was last modified: 27-06-2024, 06:56 AM by DesCartes.) in response to #56928 Squarevanmanmark2 Wrote: I suppose yes my parents and grandparents voted labour. Sorry, I was referring whimsically to The Heritage Party. They have a candidate in Woking, and 40 other constituencies. 27-06-2024, 07:45 AM in response to #56929 DesCartes Wrote: Sorry, I was referring whimsically to The Heritage Party. Still if they can afford the deposit, have backing of electors to sign their nomination papers and have candidates then good luck. After all it is what democracy is all about. I remember one GLC election we had candidates from the Cheese and Wine Party and The All Night Party. 27-06-2024, 12:14 PM in response to #56962 Squarevanmanmark2 Wrote: Pardon my ignorance only never heard of them. Only the Lib Dems seem to be trying here in Glasto&Somerton, a fair amount from them, nothing from anyone else in the constituency. However the Greens from next door Taunton have delivered a fair amount, ironic that they should waste so much paper. About 10-1 on the posters LD to Tory. Nothing else on show. 27-06-2024, 12:43 PM (This post was last modified: 27-06-2024, 01:05 PM by Mr Staffordshire.) in response to #56968
FOR FUCKS SAKE
Fourth time I received a leaflet from fucking Tories in many weeks. On bright side, I got a letter from Sir Keir himself, politely asking for a support and vote our local MP, Sarah Edwards. Oh yet another from Britain's most racist party, Reform. Went into the bin. 27-06-2024, 12:46 PM in response to #56968

Got Labour, Tory, Green, Lib Dem, Reform, SDP and Heritage today.
The Tory even acknowledged on the front of his leaflet he is a Tory which makes a change. Although not in Tory blue again but campaigning, it seems solely, on LTNs. |
