But no more free books for schoolchildren. https://www.edbookfest.co.uk/news/free-t...ie-gifford Yay! 09-06-2024, 10:51 PM (This post was last modified: 09-06-2024, 10:57 PM by NWS.) in response to #52475 Lenny Baryea Wrote: Between £2.5bn and £5bn, according to Fossil Free Books (who, coincidentally or otherwise, launched on 7th October 2023). Why are you quoting fossil free books? That figure is quoted by Baillie Gifford. 1% is directly invested in fossil fuels. That's £2.25bn of lol pollution funding. Still, a free book v a future. Tough choice, I agree. Still, some people complained and some book festivals got cancelled. You note that they will continue to fund pollution, yet you feel the story is the attempt to stop them doing so failing. Against luxury activism, for luxury pollution. 09-06-2024, 10:54 PM in response to #52483 09-06-2024, 11:00 PM in response to #52484 09-06-2024, 11:02 PM in response to #52485 09-06-2024, 11:06 PM in response to #52487 09-06-2024, 11:08 PM (This post was last modified: 09-06-2024, 11:08 PM by Leeds Sandgrounder.) in response to #52489 09-06-2024, 11:17 PM in response to #52491 Leeds Sandgrounder Wrote: And I definitely meant it and all. You tried to be clever for one post. It fell apart so you resorted to this. The real story is that Baillie Gifford is one company investing 1% into fossil fuels. £2..25bn. Industry average is 11%.. its quite amazing that lenny is angry at losing festivals but non plussed at funding eco-breakdown |
