It doesn't matter now. In a few months it'll all seem like a TERRIBLE NIGHTMARE. A bright new dawn is coming over the horizon. There will be a wonderful day where the majority of Tory MPs will be cast into the Lake of Fire and we will reawaken into a New Earth! 22-05-2024, 05:58 PM in response to #47973
If he'd have called the election the week before a couple of hundred thousand labour voters would have been at Glastonbury

I was referring to all the complex issues which are still there in both instances. It's fine to say "we won" and wander off but the problems are still there. I wouldn't really hold either of those things up as positive things that Tory governments have achieved. I would give you an example of one but I honestly can't think of one at the moment. 22-05-2024, 06:15 PM in response to #47977 22-05-2024, 06:19 PM in response to #47898 Barnet Ben Wrote: Probably fitting to have a celebration thread. Confguide Tory melts in complete meltdown. What are you most looking forward to changing? There's no money, so I don't think a whole lot will change economically. But, i'm hopeing that socially we become a bit more of a softer, caring country. The culture war of the last decade has made this island a nasty place. I may be naieve in think they can change that but I remain hopeful for now. But really, what i'm most looking forward too, is a return to some sort of normality in governance. This lot aince 2015 have been an utter disaster in so many ways causing so much harm to our institutions, conventions and setting dangerous precidents. Even Rishi knew it with his speach the other month. ![]() • Bullsgold, Greek Card, Leeds Sandgrounder, Sicknote |
