You voted for Tory uncontrolled immigration The 2019 manifesto pledged fewer lower-skilled migrants and reduced immigration overall. (Doesn't every party promise that at election time?) The fact that it has presided over an increase, and the buck now stops with them and not the EU, is one of the reasons why the Conservative Party faces mass extinction at the next General Election. As for your beloved EU, and its elections in June - "estimates suggest that radical-right parties are on course to finish first in nine countries, including Austria, France, the Netherlands and Belgium, and second or third in another nine, including Spain, Portugal, Sweden and possibly Germany" https://theguardian.com/world/article/20...hey-matter 12-05-2024, 07:31 AM in response to #46113 12-05-2024, 08:11 AM in response to #46113
The uncontrolled immigration that was obviously going to happen as a result of leaving the EU.
I’m not fussed about levels of immigration being higher than x or lower than y. there isn’t a given “desirable number” as it depends on numerous factors such as the nature of labour shortages, demographics in this country, birth rate etc etc. which are all constantly changing. Anyway if you were desperate for lower immigration then that was obviously going to be achieved by staying in the EU. It isn’t that hard to understand. 12-05-2024, 08:26 AM in response to #46219 Uptheshots Wrote: The uncontrolled immigration that was obviously going to happen as a result of leaving the EU. And so says the muppet as the desirable number is 0 at this current time. Time for the navy to deal with the problem, a day using live rounds would make the illegals think twice about breaking the law. Immigration is the main issue/problem this country faces due to the high numbers we're not deporting, and immigration was why a majority voted to leave the eeyou, and good riddance to that, but action needs to be taken to remove the ones being kept at the tax payers expense. And as has been mentioned it's no surprise a lot of the eeyou countries are turning to the right. 12-05-2024, 08:48 AM in response to #46113
I understand immigration is important to you.
Do you understand that by voting to leave the EU you effectively voted to increase immigration? 12-05-2024, 08:55 AM in response to #46224 12-05-2024, 09:21 AM in response to #46224 Uptheshots Wrote: I understand immigration is important to you. I don't think you do understand, as I'd have been happy with a 'hard' Brexit and the majority of those here under the freedom of movement bullshit returned to the mainland. And no, our government has the right to protect our borders, and by what ever means they see fit and not doing so's the reason they'll be voted out unfortunately to be replaced by a mob who's a couple of orders of magnitude worse. 12-05-2024, 09:25 AM in response to #46225 12-05-2024, 09:50 AM in response to #46225 Meerkat Wrote: Go on, explain that This is a pretty decent article: https://www.bigissue.com/opinion/brexit-...migration/ |
