The targeting of the jets is a legit target if you are going to protest in this way.
Leave places like Stonehenge alone though. please. They are important links to our heritage and people will feel emotional about seeing them attacked in this way. 20-06-2024, 10:25 AM in response to #55125 Barnet Ben Wrote: Oh for god sake! Won't somebody think of the private jets and lichen on the tarmac!? This is more like it. Why didn't they just do stuff like that in the first place? Nobody really cares about how that jet looks but it still gets media attention. Doing stuff to things of cultural value just pisses most people off. If you piss someone off then they're likely to think you're a wangerhead and stop listening to you. 20-06-2024, 11:33 AM in response to #55125 Barnet Ben Wrote: Oh for god sake! Got to agree. People should be up in arms over the desiccation of a national monument. It’s just not on just like the stupid prats who have damaged the Great Wall of China or Romes Colosseum. 20-06-2024, 10:01 PM in response to #55421 Squarevanmanmark2 Wrote: Got to agree. It was flour which was easily removed. No damage at all done, unlike the pollution and contamination from the road next to it. Total overreaction, like the England loss. But tbf it might have slightly desiccated the stones, which after this winter's weather is some achievement. 20-06-2024, 10:07 PM in response to #55447 Barnet Ben Wrote: It was flour which was easily removed. Honestly, if they had done that to Stonehenge while I happened to be there then I'd have cracked their skulls open and feasted on the goo inside. Ritual. 20-06-2024, 10:24 PM in response to #55449
Strangely, I've not seen any association between Just Stop Oil and the decision of the Supreme Court today re Horse Hill - of which I approve.
This has significant implications for future oil exploration and exploitation in and around the UK: https://news.sky.com/story/future-of-new...n-13155934 There were various people or groups outside the court protesting, but they all looked reasonable types. Meanwhile, Adam and Jocasta (Reggie Perrin's grandchildren) were busy wasting their, and everybody else's, time spraying orange stuff on Stonehenge. 21-06-2024, 04:35 AM in response to #55451 DesCartes Wrote: Strangely, I've not seen any association between Just Stop Oil and the decision of the Supreme Court today re Horse Hill - of which I approve. Cheers for this, des. Another one to watch is Jo Bateman suing South West Water where, I believe, the Good Law project is involved |
