Woking is a very intriguing name for the place.
When I was a little, my parents took me to South Coast for a holiday and I saw a motorway sign with “Woking” on it. I assumed it was the place where the wok originated from! 18-05-2024, 01:35 PM in response to #47159 Leeds Sandgrounder Wrote: Wok-ing 9 to 5 For the second time in the space of two weeks I find myself trying to jam random words into Wichita Lineman for the benefit of this forum. At the very second I read Cockermouth in that post the cricket commentators were talking about Cockermouth (Ben Stokes is from there). I am going to move to Cockermouth and live life as if I was in a Carry On film.
