Renationalisation and free university tuition are bound to be popular, but also expensive (I'd still do the first where possible, but not the second) - I would agree that we should increase the top tax rate but it wouldn't raise that much. Rent caps are a good idea.
Never really managed to bridge the credibility gap, mainly because he never really seemed interested in trying to do so.
Or maybe because people where too busy listening to the nonsense rhetoric being screamed at them by people worried about their padded little lives being made marginally worse through his policies and ideology. I agree that he didnt help himself though. When, I watched Johnson start the anti-semitic line - in the televised debates - I was willing Corbyn to ask Johnson about hook-nosed bankers, letterboxes and burglars, and smiling piccaninnies.* I was disappointed when he let him off the hook.
