If you like Farage, you'll have been tuning into him and bound to make him the winner. Rayner's done fine there with 17% - I'd be intrigued to know what second preferences were because I suspect she or the Greens person will have topped that choice rather than Farage as his popularity is more binary in nature.
Aside from the xenophobic and populist bullshit, my main issue with Farage is just how adverse he is to the possibility of responsibility. He's the right wing Corbyn - he has no experience of governance so can just sit there and pick topics to rally against (which in fairness to him he does well) knowing he'll never need to worry about sorting the stuff out himself.
My suspicion is that when he gets elected (which he will this time), he really won't enjoy Parliament - the small office, the lack of friends, the lack of opportunities to speak, the time limits on speeches - it's a system that is not designed for pluralist to and fro as you get in even the European Parliament. I expect post-election that PR and SERIOUS PARLIAMENTARY REFORM (possibly even suggesting the Johnson idea of moving the upper chamber out of London) will all of a sudden become very important issues to him.
In short, he's a chancing spineless twat.
It would make sense for him to campaign for PR wouldn’t it?
