Glue was my mate's favourite. Someone also described Marabou Stork Nightmares, which sounds surreal.
Trainspotting was my fave, get the feeling he was always trying to emulate that afterwards - so others less interesting. Marabou Stork nightmares is interesting, but it made me think he was ripping off Iain Banks and trying to rip off JG Ballard a bit.
