Sorry, that should be 'old bastards'.
Ladies and old bastards,
There are some day courses for Junior School kids which are being run by a university; Art, Coding, Creative Writing etc. Each of these is one day only and they all run from 9am to 3pm on school days (term time).
I imagine this are for the home school mafia but has anyone have any experience (or, as a teacher, knowledge) of taking a child out of school for very evidently educational purposes?
I understand that there's a justification form to fill in and submit to the school but what are the chances that they would approve, say, 20 days off per year if fully evidenced and justified? What are the chances of them approving one day off?
Seems quite a ballache just to get a few fun 'project' days into your own child's education. I'm not sure why a school would reject the idea, but there we go.
Thoughts?
Apologies and thank you.
They won't need any of these skills, according to the latest Apple Ipad Pro ad.
