This would reduce the need for legal migration. There are other issues to be addressed, such as the arrival of dependants of students.
I don't like the analysis by country or geographical region. I don't know the purpose of this is other than to support right-wing arguments to discriminate on immigration on the basis of where someone comes from (and, maybe, what they look like)
I definitely agree on economic inactivity and I think the government is making a start on the sick list.

It has been settled policy across the political spectrum for many years to discriminate on immigration based on country of origin, which makes sense to me.
In your view, what are the arguments AGAINST choosing which country we allow immigration from?
