Faith schools in England will no longer have to offer up to half of their places to children who don’t belong to their religion, under changes to state school admissions rules announced by the government.
Surely it can’t be legal for a taxpayer’s kid to be banned from their local state funded school because of their lack of believing in fairytales?
A colleague’s kid was going to have to get a bus to school rather than walk to the one down the street until she lied about being Catholic.
This will get ugly when the schools are in Birmingham or Bradford…..
