In a by-election where the winning party was never in doubt and second plus third combined wouldn't have overturned first place, Reform should have taken second place quite easily on free hit votes alone. They seem a fairly disorganised set up that will undoubtedly get squeezed pretty substantially in the GE. There was a discussion about this on BBC coverage. Basically Reform have no on the ground operation for local elections unlike the other parties so that they're having an impact is in spite of this. That they operate through a national approach, and the constant reference to them with regards the Tories growing their perceived importance, may actually mean their impact is increased in affecting the Tory vote in a GE. 03-05-2024, 06:30 PM in response to #44355 Nonsense Potter Wrote: Update.
