I’m waiting for porridge & poachies, the porridge is half cooked, the egg pan has milk & franks red hot in it waiting, in an ideal world I’d have eaten an hour back but the insulin’s a slow starter.

Cup of tea and two extra strong painkillers for the sinusitis I've been suffering from since yesterday.

Went to the ship’s buffet with all the tracksuit- wearing ultraconsumers.
Looked down my nose at the blurred tattoos in the queue for fried bread and sausages. Acted haughty to the Hoodrich-clad pastry enthusiasts. And mingled happily with the lululemon crowd at the bircher muesli station. Walked with head held high through the great unwashed, making sure my green smoothie was clearly visible. It’s important to establish one’s position in the hierarchy while at sea.
