No football for Southport today but plenty of football from the teams below us mean we're back in the relegation mix. Our arsewank goal difference could kill us yet.

It's literally one of the most successful seasons in the club's history, they're at home in blazing sunshine dry conditions and almost certain to win the title today, Staffy is in the town at this point in time. And yet he hasn't bothered to go. I’m afraid that in today’s society I find this attitude rather a negative bullying one. I don’t know Staffy’s position, but I speak for myself when I say that often going to a game, home or away, is often a financial one and not a personal one. Yes, I wanted to go to Boreham Wood away, but I didn’t have the cash. Yes, I have a season ticket for home games, but attending a home game involves having a working car and money to put petrol in it. I also have missed home games because I got the opportunity to work instead, and in 2024, having an income and being able to put food on the table is a priority. Let’s be a little bit more appreciative and understanding as to why fans are not at games, even the ‘biggest game in history’. Non attendance doesn’t make you less of a fan, maybe in the 1980s but not in 2024. 06-04-2024, 04:19 PM (This post was last modified: 06-04-2024, 04:19 PM by Money Shot.) in response to #39986
Shots lost 0-2 away to Hartlepool.
I didn't go, 10000 nnl miles, very limited train service, done a Staffy etc. We're still in the playoffs, but 1 point from the last 9 isn't good. Away to Gateshead on Tues, then home to Borehamwood and Daggers away for the last 2 games. It could all go down to the last game if we're going to make the playoffs. 06-04-2024, 04:21 PM in response to #39987 Mr Staffordshire Wrote: CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! Normally I would congratulate any supporter about the exhillaration of promotion, but you are no Tamworth fan and deserve no enjoyment from a random team winning the league. Congrats Mrtfc and any other lurkers, enjoy the night! 06-04-2024, 04:31 PM in response to #39986
Just recovered from several heart attacks as we survived a first half pummelling from Posh Sports only to dominate the second half, score a goal, then concede a penalty in injury time that hit the post!
Three teams on 50 points trying to avoid the past relegation spot! 06-04-2024, 04:42 PM (This post was last modified: 06-04-2024, 07:12 PM by TomMc.) in response to #39989 Auntie Merge Wrote: Let’s be a little bit more appreciative and understanding as to why fans are not at games, even the ‘biggest game in history’. Do you remember a couple of months ago when you dug me out on here for not being at the previous week’s Daggers game? A bit hypocritical, right? 06-04-2024, 04:42 PM in response to #39986
Maidenhead completely Maidenheaded it up again. You were 2-0 up lads ffs. Our keeper had to leave the penalty area for you to score. It was on a plate.
Disappointing. Very disappointing that we didn't lose that. Now those Wood bastards are in with a shout of staying up. 06-04-2024, 04:53 PM in response to #39995 |
